Taking Care Of Your Body

We, meaning our society doesn’t teach enough about the human body. How we have to care for our body and how important it really is. Medical science has no idea humans could live. All they have to go by is history. The body has evolved over millions of years, but the last 100 years have changed everything we do for our bodies. Before the 20th century, most humans had to work hard physically every day. It kept our bodies in good condition. We had to eat the food that grew in the farmer's field, most were grown organic because farmers had no money for chemicals that kill bugs or fertilizers to stimulate growth.

The food you eat is the medicine that keeps you healthy. All the pills in the world can’t fix the neglect we do to our bodies. The prescription you get from the doctor only helps you tolerate your illness. That gives your body time to repair the body.

But that never worked for me, you might say. I know, it doesn’t work for everyone because the food you’re eating can’t do its job.

Say you have a tooth pulled. Normally, the dentist doesn’t use stitches; he sends you home telling you to keep the area clean and in a few days it will heal itself. For most people, that’s all that’s necessary.

Your blood has the healing power to heal wounds, and mead bones, and keep your internal organs in good shape as long as you eat the right foods, drink plenty of water, and maintain a high activity level to keep the heart and circulation system working properly.

That doesn’t sound too hard yet millions of people around the world don’t eat the right foods because they don’t really know what those foods are. They drink too many high-calorie drinks and not enough water and over the last 100 years we now have cut our activity level back to less than 3 hours a day.

This doesn’t apply to everyone but office workers and even some factory jobs require workers to sit in front of a computer screen 8 hours a day. If you add the time spent commuting, watching TV, eating meals, and lying in bed or on the couch; most Americans are spending more than 20 hours a day off their feet.

Even one hour a day at the gym can’t counteract the harm you do to your body spending more than 12 hours a day off your feet.

Now you can understand why most adults are overweight. The extra body fat you carry around is adding “wear and tear” to your body.
