How Can I Avoid Chemicals In My Food?

Good Question, First why should you avoid chemicals in food? The answer is Cancer. My personal opinion is that chemicals in food will cause cancer eventually. I say eventually because everyone has a different immune system, some healthier than others so Cancer cells would grow slower and might not be detected for decades if they live that long. After age 80, the chances for some Cancers are as much as 50%.

So we now know that diet and exercise have much to do with your chances of getting Cancer. We also know that the amount of body fat will add more risk to your chances for Cancer. The good news is that you can do something about it. Yes, thanks to modern medicine more people survive Cancer than ever before, but going threw the process of chemo and radiation treatments is a terrible experience no one wants to go threw. Opting out of treatment is even worse, Cancer patients die a long and painful death.

So how can I improve my risk for Cancer. If you don't raise your own chickens and grow your own fruits and vegetables organically it might be tough. Supermarkets are trying to sell more organic foods and free range meat but the prices are high. I don't think prices will stay high for ever but until the large growers change to organic growing and more organic produce is available the prices will stay higher than regular produce. The chemically grown produce will disappear over time just like the gasoline engine but it will take decades.

Today most of us are stuck with only a few choices for healthy eating. We can eat meat if it's organic we can assume that it has less chemicals from food preservative and growth hormones. If it's produce we can only hope that we can trust organic to be free of chemical additives or chemical fertilizers. We can buy some organic dairy products and now I have seen some organic wine.

Bakery goods are "out" for now. No bread, cookies, cake, pie, candy, ice cream or anything else that's manufactured. No bottled or canned drinks, or ready made food or processed foods. You can make your own from scratch if you wish but packaged foods are out. Those items are no longer considered to be healthy foods.

So what do you do about "eating out"? You don't eat out unless you know the food is organically grown. This is the new way to eat if you want to stay healthy.

The upside is that after several months eating and drinking this way you will reduce your calorie intake and lose body fat which does reduce your risk for Cancer. Also the lower amount of chemicals in your digestive system from eating healthy will also reduce your risks.

Losing body fat should be your goal. Read up on weight loss and losing body fat. It doesn’t cost money to lose weight. The internet is full of free information.
