Why Can't We Feed School Kids Good Food?

This is more complicated than it might sound. Yes, every Mom wants her kids to eat healthy food at school, so why doesn't the School Board do something to change the food. First of all, just as important is that you provide food that kids want to eat. A few years ago we tried the fruit and vegetable diet at public intercity schools and found that the kids didn't eat the lunches. So what's the answer? I think we should change up the program. I know even though Pizza for lunch is probably the most popular meal in any school, the ready-made, heat-and-serve type of frozen pizza that most schools are serving is loaded with sodium and probably not very good for anyone with a weight problem. I'd like to see more fresh food being served. I would like to see, just a trial, of course, in a few school, baked chicken served cold, with a macaroni salad, made with an olive oil based mayo, tomatoes, and celery.
