What Things Affect Your Diet?

A little bit of science, your "genetic makeup" plays the biggest role. This is the things we get from our ancestors. Colors of our eyes, our height, our basic body size, and weight, also the way our brain works and the way our body stores fat. Now that last one is important if you want to lose fat. I'm talking about the way fat is distributed throughout your body. For example, if your mother back when she was 18 to 20 years of age, she might have been slim but after having a child she started to put on pounds from her waist down to her knees. Then if you start to put on extra pounds you could do the same. Of course, that will depend on which parent you favor. Your bone structure is also genetic; if your mom and dad both had short legs then probably you also will. So you can see what I'm getting at. Losing weight won't fix everything. So now we know we can't fix everything, but we can lose excess fat. Your diet or in other words ( what you eat every day )

If you have been reading my blog over the years I have written several posts about how we are aging our bodies. You age your body by neglecting to do the maintenance. And what does that mean? We don't try and keep your muscles strong and we don't try to feed your body the nutrition it needs. So what happens? We die at an early age. Medical science doesn't know how long humans can live. A private company is doing research now to see if humans can live to 150. Some researchers think humans can live to 200, but no studies have been done. So there's much controversy and the only thing they all agree on is that we are killing ourselves by not taking care of our body. Can Excess Body Fat Cause Cancer?

Yes, it's proven in several different studies done by many different health organizations all over the world that excess body fat can cause Breast Cancer and Colon Cancer, but that's only the Cancers that have been positively proven. Many other Cancers are attributed to a poor diet. A poor diet will cause a lack of nutrition that over time will cause diseases to enter the body and combined with lack of exercise, which can simply be from too much sitting and not enough walking, will keep the immune system from fighting diseases and so Cancers can invade the body and grow in size. All of us have Cancer cells in our body but our immune system will control the cancer cells and keep them from growing unless you aren't getting enough nutrition and then the cancer cells are able to grow. 1out of 3 people today will get cancer in their lifetime. Losing Weight Will Take Some Willpower

Try Something New For Breakfast?

Most people with weight problems skip breakfast during the week. They're not hungry when they wake up so they either workout and then go to work and find a snack around 10 am. That's not the way and you'll have trouble losing weight like that. I'm predicting that drinkable yogurt will get more people eating breakfast again. In the 1960's breakfast was a necessity. Everyone ate breakfast and very few people had a weight problem. We had a lower drop-out rate in public school and a higher level of well-educated graduates. Drinkable yogurt is the answer to a super quick breakfast that gives you all the nutrition necessary in the morning. I'm not blaming all our social problems on not eating breakfast, but it's strange that you can make a case that there might be a connection. It's probably a coincidence. Do famous-name diets really work? There are plenty of famous-name diets for weight loss, but none stands out from the pack when it comes to lasting results, a new review suggests. Looking at a dozen clinical trials, researchers found that three big-name diets -- Atkins, Weight Watchers and the Zone -- were all "modestly" effective over the course of a year. In studies that compared the plans head-to-head, people lost anywhere from 4 to 10 pounds, on average. Meanwhile, a fourth commercial diet -- South Beach -- was no better than traditional advice to eat a low-fat diet, the study authors said. And in the few trials that lasted two years -- all looking at Atkins or Weight Watchers -- people often regained some of the pounds they lost.
